Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Rabies vaccinations are required by law, and must be current in order for us to provide care for your pet.
Even though we strive to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on leash and properly controlled while in the reception area or exam room. All cats must be in an appropriate carrier (a pillow case with a knot tied in the top works very well) or on a leash.
What if Dr. Thompson isn't available?Dr. Thompson takes her own emergencies whenever possible but, in order to spend time with her family, she also refers emergencies to a local clinic or to Veterinary Emergency Services, an emergency clinic in Las Cruces, when she is unavailable. You may be assured that, should you have an emergency when Dr. Thompson is not available, you will be seen by another caring, competent veterinarian, who will inform us the following business day of your pet's status. Dr. Thompson may also be unavailable while she attends continuing education seminars, where the latest techniques and information that help keep your pets healthy are discussed.
Payment Policy
We require full payment at the time services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and personal checks. If payment is not provided at the time of services, we do charge a $20.00 delayed payment fee. Any checks returned for insufficient funds, etc., will have a $30 charge applied to the account.
